THE EXPERIENCE

The S-RC Cup is more than just an RC race — it’s the UK’s first-ever RC motorsports championship designed exclusively for schools and colleges. This unique STEM challenge runs like a real racing season, splitting the academic year into two thrilling halves.

In the first half, teams become full-on motorsport engineering start-ups: designing, building, and refining their RC cars while learning vital STEM skills like physics, aerodynamics, and electronics. Alongside the engineering, students develop teamwork, project management, and business savvy — building their own motorsport team brand and strategy from the ground up.

The second half is all about hitting the track. Purpose-built race circuits inside universities across the UK bring the competition to life, where teams race, analyse data, and iterate their designs to chase podium finishes. It’s hands-on STEM in action, where theory meets the high-octane reality of motorsport.

With a structured season calendar of build phases, testing, qualifying rounds, and a grand finale, the S-RC Cup gives students an authentic experience of engineering, innovation, and competitive racing — boosting confidence, creativity, and critical thinking.
