The Mission of the S-RC Cup is a genuine mission, and I don’t just say that as something to use as a promotion, I (Pete Hewage – Founder) say this from personal experience.
Most people don’t know this, but my career path was not meant to be engineering. I was never even considering it as something to even look at. Until one day, the JLR 4×4 in schools competition came to my school. Because some of my friends joined up, I did too. A couple weeks in, and my team’s engineer left, leaving an empty space, which somehow I ended up taking.
Through wanting to win, I learned loads about engineering. I can honestly say there are some skills that the competition taught me when I was in year 9, that I am only now just seeing reflected in formal education – and I’m in a russell group engineering university.
Unfortunately, when COVID-19 hit, the JLR 4×4 competition was cut, and never seen again. Personally, I believe that competition changed my life, and showed me a path into STEM, and I don’t want the younger generation missing out on that opportunity. This is where the S-RC Cup was born.
But we can’t do it alone! We are a small start up run entirely by University students! This is where you come in! We need your help!!

This sponsor is an exclusive sponsorship tier, and will only be held by 1 corporation, renewed on a year-year basis, and secured via the highest bidding (above £30,000)
