S-RC Takes on Formula E at ExCeL London

S-RC brings its Gen1 electric racing car to the London Formula E-Prix

S-RC joined Motorsport UK at the London Formula E-Prix at ExCeL London on 15–16 August, showcasing its Gen1 electric racing car and its mission to make motorsport more accessible, inclusive and sustainable for the next generation.

Invited to join the Motorsport UK inclusion hub stand, the S-RC team introduced its Gen1 to Formula E fans, professional drivers, motorsport personnel and members of the public. Visitors were able to see the car up close, learn about S-RC’s mission and experience the Gen1 for themselves.

The activation attracted interest from families, young people, professional drivers, the medical evacuation team and members of the wider motorsport and sim racing communities. Parents were particularly interested in S-RC’s STEM Challenge and its aim to bring accessible, free motorsport education into schools.

A returning face: Abbi Pulling

One of the standout moments of the weekend was the return of Abbi Pulling, the 2024 F1 Academy champion and current GB3 Championship driver.

Abbi first met the S-RC team at the London Formula E-Prix last year, where she tried the driving simulator during S-RC’s activation. Returning this year, she got behind the wheel of the Season 1 S-RC Gen1 and shared her feedback as a professional racing driver.

During her Sunday morning interview with Pete and Feranmi, Harper Rowland, daughter of Nissan Formula E driver and 2024–25 Formula E World Champion Oliver Rowland, was personally taught how to drive the Gen1 by Abbi.

The moment captured S-RC’s aim of creating accessible opportunities for the next generation to experience motorsport and learn from those already competing at the highest levels.

S-RC also welcomed Chloe Chambers, former F1 Academy Haas driver and current Mahindra Racing test driver, who tested the Gen1 and provided feedback from her perspective as a professional driver.

Abbi’s extended interview will feature across S-RC’s social media channels, giving audiences a closer look at her experience with the project and her views on accessible motorsport.

Building connections across the motorsport community

The weekend also provided opportunities for S-RC to connect with creators, journalists and other influential figures across the wider motorsport community.

Motorsport content creator Nicole Sime (@pitstopnic) met the team in the guest lounge and expressed interest in S-RC’s work. Following the conversation, Nicole connected with S-RC on social media, exchanged contact details and was invited to attend future S-RC events.

S-RC also connected with Jordan Kensington, serial entrepreneur and founder of the Urban Music Awards, who showed interest in the team’s work and wider vision.

These conversations helped S-RC continue building relationships across the motorsport and creative communities while introducing new audiences to its mission.

A successful weekend for S-RC

Reflecting on the weekend, S-RC team member Hannah said:

“Being at Formula E with S-RC was such a brilliant experience. I loved creating content, speaking to people throughout the event and getting the wider motorsport community involved. Seeing how willing people were to engage with us really showed the potential S-RC has to bring people into motorsport in a fun and accessible way.”

Feranmi added:

“This weekend can only be described as eventful. It was great to see how much engagement, reach and support we gained from both professionals in the industry and the public alike. The team and I really made a name for S-RC this weekend and I see this as a massive success.”

S-RC’s presence at the London Formula E-Prix demonstrated the growing interest in its approach to grassroots motorsport, combining electric vehicle technology, STEM education and accessible participation.

The team will continue building on the connections made during the weekend while developing future activations and opportunities to bring its mission to an even wider audience.
